Do You Qualify?
You may qualify to participate in any of our clinical research studies if you meet the study criteria.
Insomnia
We are currently seeking volunteers who may be interested in participating in a clinical trial involving an investigational medication (a medication that is being tested).
To qualify, you must:
- You are male or female ≥ 18 years of age
- Have problems falling and staying asleep for at least the past 3 months
- Do not regularly nap throughout the day
- Have no significant medical illness, mental illness or cognitive impairment
- Not be pregnant, nursing or lactating
- No history of substance use
- Must not be a shift worker
- Not participated in a clinical study in the past 3 months
- Willing to comply with all aspects of the study visits and requirements with 12 clinic visits over a period of 3 months
Narcolepsy (with/without cataplexy)
We are currently seeking Narcolepsy volunteers who may be interested in participating in a clinical trial involving an investigational medication (a medication that is being tested).
To qualify for our Narcolepsy study:
- You are a male or female between the ages of 18 and 65
- You have Excessive Daytime Sleepiness that is associated with Narcolepsy
- You have no significant medical illness, mental illness or cognitive impairment
- You are not and planning to not be pregnant, nursing or lactating during the study
- You have no history of substance use or abuse
- You must not be a shift worker
- You must abstain from driving or operating heavy machinery during the study
- You are not using a CPAP machine
- You have not participated in a clinical study in the past 2 month (60 days)
- You are willing to comply with all aspects of the study visits and requirements with 9+ in-person clinic visits over a period of approximately 3 months
Weight Loss
We are currently seeking volunteers who may be interested in participating in a clinical trial involving an investigational medication (a medication that is being tested).
To qualify:
- You are a male or female ≥ 18 years of age.
- You have a BMI ≥ 30 KG/m2.
- You are pre-diabetic – defined as having one of the following
- HbA1C between 6.0 and 6.4% (42 and 47 mmol /mol).
- Fasting Plasma Glucose Levels between 5.5 and 6.9mmol/l and (99 and 125 mg/dl).
- You do not have a history of type 1 or 2 diabetes.
- You have not treated with glucose lowering agents within 90days.
- You have no self-reported change in body weight >5kg (11lbs) within 90 days before screening irrespective of medical records.
- You have undergone no treatment with any medication for the indication of obesity within the past 90 days before screening.
- You are willing to comply with all aspects of the study visits and requirements with 12+ in-person clinic visits over a period of approximately 12 months
Sleep Apnea, Excessive Daytime Sleepiness, and Cognition
We are currently seeking volunteers who may be interested in participating in a clinical trial involving an investigational medication (a medication that is being tested).
To qualify:
- You are a male or female between the ages of 18 – 65.
- You have a BMI between 18.5 to < 40kg/m2
- You have a confirmed Obstructive Sleep Apnea diagnosis with ONE of the following;
- Consistent use of PAP therapy (with downloadable data) OR
- No current use of PAP therapy for at least one month, but a History of attempting to use PAP machine as Primary OSA therapy OR
- History of surgical intervention intended to treat OSA
- You have a usual night total sleep of ≥ 6 hours.
- You have not been diagnosed with another sleep disorder.
- You are not nighttime or shift worker.
- You have no recent substance abuse history.
- You have no excessive caffeine use history – ≥ 6 cups of brewed coffee.
- You have no significant medical, clinical, mental, psychiatric or behavioral disorder other than OSA that is associated with an impact on cognitive function.
- You are not and planning to not be pregnant, nursing or lactating during the study
- You have not participated in a clinical study in the past 30 days.
- You are willing to comply with all aspects of the study visits and requirements with 9+ in-person clinic visits over a period of approximately 5 weeks.
If you qualify for any of these clinical studies, you may receive the following:
- Complete sleep and/or medical evaluation (including routine blood tests and comprehensive physical examination)
- Study medication and all study-related tests at no cost
- Compensation may be provided for your time and/or travel
