Dr. Kathleen Ferguson
Dr. Kathleen Ferguson obtained her Doctor of Medicine from Western University in 1986 and subsequently trained in Internal Medicine and Respirology at Western. She trained in Sleep Medicine at Western and UBC and joined Western’s Faculty of Medicine in 1994. Prior to her retirement from Western in 2012, Dr. Ferguson was active in sleep research, teaching, administration and clinical work. Her research interests were in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing in particular the role of oral appliance therapy.
During her academic career she was involved in many professional societies and presented widely at scientific conferences. She worked with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in the development of clinical practice guidelines for Sleep Medicine. In 2020 she became the Medical Director for MedSleep Penticton.
